Yes, mothers day is in a few days and if you have not already bought her something. (Shame on you) But,you can always send her an e-card.
Well, SiteAdvisor has a list of 10 eCard sites to STAY AWAY from. All the offending sites just love to spam you and the receipant after you send your card out.
FreeWebCards.com - sent out Auto Loan and Credit card ads to the person the card was sent to and kept sending 36 emails a week afterwards.
And Forget about using FunnyReign.com - They were one of the highest amounts of spam where the test email account received over 1075 messages per week. WOW!!
Fukkad.com - was horrible - they used Active X prompt to install adware into your computer (What a gift to your mom).
But don't despair you can still send an ecard. With SiteAdvisors help the list several very good sites (Such as 123Greetings.com) to send a card from that will not spam or install vicious software on your Moms PC.

Here is a great service I discovered today called TextMemos - Quoting from their site:
Need a reminder for something? No Problem - Just schedule a TextMemo, and TextMemos.com will send a free text message reminder to your phone to remind you.
Text Memos works with nearly all cell phone providers! Best of all it's FREE, and we won't ever share your phone number!
If you don't use Google Calendar and have their alert system on. This is a quick alternative to help you remember a meeting, apointment, When to take your pills, Or just before meeting someone that talks alot - have this service send you a text message so you can have an excuse to leave or stop talking.
Best part is that this works with most cell phone providers.

I have been using this with my new cell phone and it is working great - How many times have you been out and about and not near a computer and would like to look up some basic info. Well now you can with Google SMS.
Google SMS enables you to send various queries in the form of SMS text message from your cell phone to google and fairly easily get a decent answer. It will not send you the web page or links - just the text. Yup like Joe Friday - Just the Text Mam, just the text.
Google SMS is pretty easy to use. on line they have a easy to cut out and put in your wallet Tip Sheet(PDF) but if your forgot it and need help you can send the text HELP to GOOGLE (46645) Yup Google with out the E. and depending on how busy your service is you should get a text message back with in a few minutes.
Some sample queries that I have use

WEATHER 15122 Gives me Weather for that ZIP Code
