Today I noticed this article on Yahoo News "Employers Looking at Web By New Hires"
Basically it states - Watch out what you put on the web - Be it MySpace.com FaceBook.com or even your own blog….
They are googling and yahooing you to see what you would be like as an employee and if you would fit into the mold..
Here is an excerpt of the article:
At issue is employers who discover a whole new side to the applicants
for whom they search. Whether it"s a photo of you with a beer in your
hand or perhaps something incriminating, employers say what you post
could preclude you from that next hire.

I have been using this with my new cell phone and it is working great - How many times have you been out and about and not near a computer and would like to look up some basic info. Well now you can with Google SMS.
Google SMS enables you to send various queries in the form of SMS text message from your cell phone to google and fairly easily get a decent answer. It will not send you the web page or links - just the text. Yup like Joe Friday - Just the Text Mam, just the text.
Google SMS is pretty easy to use. on line they have a easy to cut out and put in your wallet Tip Sheet(PDF) but if your forgot it and need help you can send the text HELP to GOOGLE (46645) Yup Google with out the E. and depending on how busy your service is you should get a text message back with in a few minutes.
Some sample queries that I have use

Well Google keeps getting better and better. Announced today via Official Google Blog was that Google will Co-Sponsor with Sun Microsystems and Lenovo, STOPBadWare.Org. StopBadWare.Org is a new initiative aimed at combating the growing problem of spyware and other deceptive software. This project is led by Harvard’s Berkman Center and the Oxford Internet Institute. And Consumer Reports WebWatch is serving as an unpaid advisor to the effort.
According to their FAQ page: StopBadware.org is a “Neighborhood Watch” campaign aimed at fighting badware. We will seek to provide reliable, objective information about downloadable applications in order to help consumers make better choices about what they download onto their computers. We aim to become a central clearinghouse for research on badware and the bad actors who spread it, and become a focal point for developing collaborative, community-minded approaches to stopping badware.

Well here it is - A very comprehensive “Specialized” search engine - This will help you find those little hidden Gems you are always looking for. I find this site to be amazing in the info you can get out of it.
Complete Planet is a comprehensive listing of dynamic searchable databases or the Deep Web as some call it.
The deep web is defined as a vast repository of underlying content, such as documents in online databases, that general-purpose web crawlers cannot reach. Both qualitative and quantitative in difference, deep web content is estimated at 500 times that of the surface web, yet has remained mostly untapped due to the limitations of traditional search engines. (www.llrx.com)
Find databases with highly relevant documents that cannot be crawled or indexed by surface (Google, MSN, Yahoo) web search engines.
Make sure to bookmark it as I know I did and will be using it when you can not find something the normal way (Google, Yahoo, MSN)
CompletePlanet - Discover over 70,000+ databases and specially search engines
